My first day as a blogger =D

Well, here goes! This is my first blog & my first official blog post ;-D I am trying to find a way to supplement my current income and I see a lot of people who make money blogging so I figured I'd give it a go :) I am always rambling on and on about one thing or another so why not try to make a little money typing about it and seeing if other people will read what I have to say :) Lets start by telling you a little bit about me! I work full time as a front office assistant at an amazing pediatrician's office. Mostly I answer the phones, schedule appointments, check people in and out at the front counter & post procedures and payments into the computer system. I absolutely love my job, I have worked there since January 2005 so I have really gotten to know a lot of the families and it is very very rewarding being such an important part of their children's health <3 2011 was quite a rough year for me! I went through a bankruptcy, a foreclosure, I had to put my cat to sleep who was 18 & a half years old & who I had had since she was just a kitten, I filed for divorce & after all of that I had an incredibly unexpected heart attack caused by a dissection of my LAD. It was a very rare fluke thing that could not have been prevented or caught ahead of time, I do not have heart disease and other than the one tear I had, my vessels are all very strong and healthy and my arteries are all very clear. I had one tear that my cardiologist said would have been caused when I strained my heart at some point, the torn tissue flapped into the valve and caused a complete blockage, causing the major heart attack I had that almost killed me. My surgeon afterwards told me the odds of what happened to me are about one in half a million, hope that puts it into perspective lol... I didn't realize at the time that I was having a heart attack, just felt some tightness in my chest and thought I couldn't breath. My arms & legs were getting tingly and I had broken out into a cold sweat so I called 911 & an ambulance took me to the hospital. The paramedic thought that I was having a panic attack, and I don't blame him. I am thirty years old, no serious health issues, I don't smoke anymore, no history of hyper tension or heart disease or high blood pressure or any other major health concerns. I have great cholesterol, etc. In the ER the cardiologist noticed a slight abnormality on my EKG and although she couldn't understand why & in her own words, it didn't make any sense, she sent me in for an angiogram to try and insert a shunt to open up the valve. When that wasn't successful, the only alternative was a single bypass. So I underwent major heart surgery in October of 2011. The last time I had been hospitalized before that was when I was born lol. I had never had any stitches, no broken bones, never even had an infection requiring antibiotics. I think I can count on my two hands the number of times in the last 15 years of my life I've taken antibiotics even for just a cold. After my surgery I had to move three times. Finally, in November I got settled into my apartment, in December I went back to work and things have been steadily improving for me since. I have an incredible man in my life and we share a love that I never had imagined could possibly exist. As a result, I have a lot of medical bills I am paying off and after having gone through a bankruptcy, I intend to keep my credit clean this time around. So here I am! Trying my hand at the wonderful world of blogging =D I intend to blog mostly about my day to day encounters and experiences :) I love to read so I will ramble about that here & there. I love to watch movies after reading the books so I can compare the two ;-D I have always loved cooking and in the last year I have gone from cooking a random meal here & there to cooking nearly all meals I eat so I am really learning a lot and will share those experiences with you all and hopefully will learn from you too! I have two wonderful cats here & Matt & I have a fabulous boxer named Big Mac who lives with Matt where he is stationed in South Carolina. Matt recently rescued a cute little kitten from a local storm drain & I recently obtained a cute little bunny rabbit from a friend, I have never had a bunny so this is new to me! He is sooooo cute!!! So I will also share my stories and experiences with all of our petren with you here as well =D So follow me along my journey into this wonderful world of blogging and we will see where it takes us!!!
